Conservative writing has become more crucial as the need to raise awareness of conservative ideals continues to make itself known. After liberal control of the US government for nearly 5 years, the damage seems irreversible; the desire to bring awareness of, and expose the danger of liberal theology has fueled the conservative movement with a zeal that sees no end in sight.

Providing their solutions to reverse the damage liberal rule has inflicted upon America, conservatives are working to make the voting public understand the core values of conservative theology and why those values are exactly what America needs.

Are you a future torchbearer? Do you believe in the conservative foundations that made America the superpower nation that it is? A greater opportunity has never presented itself like this before. If you or anyone you know is interested in conservative political writing, please contact me at futuretorchbearers@hotmail.com. We're taking back America, one conservative at a time; futrure torchbearers, unite!

Barack Obama recently announced that military tribunals will be held at Guantanmo Bay for the imprisoned detainees, to no avail of the Democratic position.
Republicans are claiming victory; Democrats are claiming another setback. Democrats first conceded their position on Guantanamo Bay in 2009 when Senate Democrats “moved to both wipe out $80 million in new funding for the closing the Guantanamo detention facility and bar the administration from moving prisoners to U.S. soil until there is a more detailed plan provided to lawmakers,” as stated in a May 2009 by Politico.
Obama said he wants to “broaden our ability to bring terrorists to justice,” and issued an executive order outlining the changes Monday afternoon, as Defense Secretary Robert Gates rescinded a January 2009 ban against bringing new charges against terror suspects in the military commissions, according to an article on FoxNews.com.
Rep. Peter King, the Republican chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security, felt Obama made the right call.
“The bottom line is that it affirms the Bush administration policy that our government has the right to detain dangerous terrorists until the cessation of hostilities.” - Representative Peter King
Likewise, House Judiciary Commitee Chairman Lamar Smith, R-Texas, said the president is affirming Republicans’ position that terrorists should be treated as enemy combatants rather than criminal defendants, underscoring a longtime ideological difference in how politicians view terrorists.
Mr. Smith said Obama has “finally seen the light,” and Republicans would concur. Obama’s decision has received strong criticism from the American Civil Liberties Union. They issued a statement which claimed that “the best way to get America out of the Guantanamo morass is to use the most effective and reliable tool we have: our criminal justice system… instead, the Obama Administration has done just the opposite and chosen to institutionalize unlawful indefinite detention – creating a troubling ‘new normal’ — and to revive the illegitimate Guantanamo military commissions.”
According to a written statement by Eric Holder, “The first trial likely to proceed under Obama’s new order would involve Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, the alleged mastermind of the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole. Al-Nashiri, a Saudi of Yemeni descent, has been imprisoned at Guantanamo since 2006.”
Obama’s original intentions to close down Guantanamo Bay have been stalled due to lawmakers’ questions as to where the suspected terrorists would be held. Another victory for Republicans. House Armed Services Committee Chairman Howard McKeon said the administration must “work with Congress to create a trial system that will stand up to judicial review.”
According to the Associated Press, the military trials will resume in approximately four months after the administration makes necessary legal adjustments for a handful of the 241 detainees at the U.S. naval detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Thirteen detainees – including five charged with helping orchestrate the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks – are already in the tribunal system.
Senator Lindsey Graham referred to Obama’s decision to resume to tribunals as, “a step toward strengthening U.S. detention policies that have been derided worldwide. I continue to believe it is in our own national security interests to separate ourselves from the past problems of Guantanamo,” said Graham, who has been working with the administration on issues related to detainees. “I agree with the president and our military commanders that now is the time to start over and strengthen our detention policies. I applaud the president’s actions today.”
Graham, however, has stated that he would not support the detainees being released into the United States.
So far, three Gitmo detainees have been convicted. The restrictions on evidence will prevent most detainees from actually going to trial. The remaining detainees will either be transferred, released, or tried in US Federal Courts. The battle over Guantanamo Bay will continue to highlight the differences in the ideological positions on the war on terror and the associated policies that some say threaten the safety of America and her people.

The Truth About Liberal Theology

Some would refer to the election of Barack Hussein Obama into the United States presidency as the largest display of political ignorance that swept the nation in a fog of disillusionment over the reality of liberal politics. The disillusionment heightened as the proposal of the potential of big government tricked the average voter into believing that big government is “the answer.”
The battle between conservative and liberal theology is not merely a difference of opinion; the real battle between conservative and liberal theology is the fight for the future of the United States of America. Analyzing the core of liberal theology will lead to an understanding of what liberal politicians don’t want the American people to know; furthermore, it will expose the truth about the real purpose of liberal politics – complete governmental domination.
The premise of liberal politics was once used in the American Revolution and the French Revolution as a means of justifying the demolition of tyrannical rule. The ideals of liberal politics have aided in the cause of civil rights and civil liberties, establishing a welfare state, implementing religious tolerance/freedom, and even the beginning of a concept known as “globalization.”
The leftist influence in American politics has created quite a stir as the American people slowly begin to see the fruition of its end goal. What those who seem to be caught up in the idealism of liberal thought do not comprehend, is that liberal theology proposes a system where the government gives “entitlements” to citizens; in other words, the government will grant rights and privileges to people in exchange for complete and total dominance. We must remember there is a price for freedom.
The fight for freedom far extends our military troops on the battleground; the fight to keep America a free nation is fought every single day amongst our elected leaders. Despite what they want the American people to hear, liberal/democratic (the two really do go hand in hand) politicians agree with the premise of liberal theology and enforce its principles in the manner by which they govern. Those of us who possess this knowledge knew just what a Barack Hussein Obama presidency would do to the United States of America. We can only hope the damage hasn’t destroyed the prospect of recovery.

US Faces a New World Order

It is indisputable that the land of the free is facing a new world order as Dictator Obama and his team of Czars force America down the path towards big government, threatening the democracy and independence that once defined this great nation. In his inauguration speech, Dictator Obama outlined his plans for a complete government takeover. He stated, "Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America." Those who did not consider Obama's plans to [remake] America a dangerous proposition were either politically ignorant, or wrapped up in the tingly sensation that many felt at the very sound of his voice.
Fueling the rising flame of big government is a false sense of entitlement. This false sense of entitlement will stretch the U.S. government to its limit by insisting it pay for things many of its citizens cannot afford on their own, such as healthcare. This is not to infer that private insurance companies do not bear some responsibility for the need for health care reform; furthermore, this is not to condemn government assistance programs that help hard working Americans who have run into hard times and are desperate for financial help until they can get back on their feet again and regain financial stability. The distinction must be made; big government does not merely offer government assistance. It demands complete government dependency. It will abolish the private sector, and therein lies the danger. Big government is the mask that, when removed, reveals a tyrannical form of government. Its mask conceals the looming reality that regimes which increase the power of their governments oppress their people - a detail that seems to be left out by pro big government administrations, such as China, India, Russia, Germany, and Canada.
Of the Obama administrations’ push for national health care in the U.S., Daniel Hannan, member of British parliament, told Glenn Beck in an August 7 interview on Fox News, “I find it incredible that a free people living in a country dedicated and founded in the cause of independence and freedom can seriously be thinking about adopting such a system in peacetime and massively expanding the role of the state when there's no need.” What the American people are witnessing in the Obama presidency is nothing more than liberal ideology at its absolute finest. Big government is just one filibuster proof majority away from gaining complete control over the lives of the American people. Political ignorance got Obama elected, but political ignorance is no longer an excuse. The American people need to wake up, before it’s too late.

My Speech for the Wilson NC Tea Party Rally "Now or Never" on 10/16/10

I will start with a quote from Thomas Jefferson – “I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting away the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.”

One of the biggest fallacies of liberal theology is that we need to expand the role and power of government in order to take care of the people. Such fallacy is merely a means toward the path of big government. Fueling the rising flame of big government is a false sense of entitlement. This false sense of entitlement will stretch the U.S. government to its limit by insisting it pay for privileges many of its citizens cannot afford on their own. This mentality also seeks to diminish the wealth of the United States by administering it to poor third world countries, and increasing the number of people dependant on government assistance. Liberals want people to believe that those who do not support redistribution of income are not in favor of helping the poor, but that is a blatant lie. Those who do not understand this concept as the very cornerstone of liberal theology will be deceived.

The goal of redistribution of income is not to help the poor. The goal of redistribution of income is to eliminate poverty by bridging the gap between the rich and the poor. The idea is that there should not be an upper class or lower class, but rather one large middle class. Redistribution of income creates economic dependence on the government; it prevents a thriving economy from flourishing. Giving power to the government, rather than to the people as it was intended, leads to a dictatorship, threatening the democracy and independence that once defined this great nation. The American people must make a choice – big government or freedom.

Big government’s false sense of entitlement bears an anti-American sentiment. The exact same sentiment that lead to dictator Obama’s “apology tour”, and that which also curses the United States for not intervening in the war crimes that took place in Uganda, Rwanda and the DRC.

The anti American sentiment will continue to flourish as long as the American people and the American government continue to move away from the foundations of this country. We need leaders who are going to pave the way for people to go out and make their own wealth – for that is the American way. As dictator Obama and his regime lead America down the path of big government, America is caught in the web of a political warfare. The American people must realize there is a price for freedom. Along with freedom comes the opportunity to achieve the American Dream. First expressed by James Adams in 1931, of the American Dream he said, "life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement." We must emphasize “according to ability or achievement.”

This false sense of entitlement mentality has people thinking the American Dream is a right. But that is wrong. The American Dream is a reward for those who, through hard work, diligence and dedication, have strived to achieve it.

As we approach the most important election of our country’s history, we must consider the principals from which this country was founded, and then examine the path of destruction that has led this country for the past year and a half. Since its founding in 1776, America has been a “beacon of liberty” – a symbol of hope and prosperity- an example for the world to follow. There are those who seek to destroy this country and everything she stands for. They seek to humiliate America and bring her to her knees. The destruction of this country is eminent if we don’t make a change – slowly but steadily, the hearts and minds of Americans are drifting toward this anti American sentiment. This new world order will bankrupt America, lose America’s status as a super-power nation, and impoverish the people for that is the goal.

Fellow patriots, we must stand together and defend the sovereignty of this great nation. “Give me liberty or give me death,” that is our battlecry. We must restore the honor of this country and live her values. We must stand and declare the United States of America, the greatest nation in the world.
“Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country” is the question every American should be asking. No matter how helpless we may feel, or how helpless this government may want us to think we are, we cannot give up the fight. Our country depends on us. It’s now or never.
